Who is responsible for your information

Nutter Design Group is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. That means we decide what is collected and why.

Nutter Design Group is a trading name of Nutter Developments Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16158694. Registered office and postal address for correspondence: 79 St Michael’s Close, Blackburn BB2 5DL.

To ask anything about this policy, or to exercise any of the rights below, contact [email protected].

What we collect, and why

Enquiries. If you use the contact form we receive your name, your email address, your phone number if you give one, and whatever you write in the message. We use it to answer your enquiry and, if the enquiry becomes a project, to run that project. We do not use it for marketing and we do not sell or share it for anyone else to market to you.

The lawful basis is legitimate interests: you contacted a business expecting a reply, and replying is what we do with what you sent. If the enquiry becomes an engagement, the basis becomes performance of a contract.

Server logs. Our hosting provider records requests to the site, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running. This is standard for any website and we do not use those logs to identify individuals.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising or remarketing tag, and no third-party embed that would set one, so there is nothing to consent to and no cookie banner.

If that changes, this section changes with it and you will be asked before any non-essential cookie is set.

Who else handles your information

We use a small number of service providers who process information on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

  • Cloudflare hosts and serves this website, and keeps the request logs described above.
  • Web3Forms receives contact form submissions and forwards them to our inbox. Because this site is a set of static pages with no server of its own, the form posts from your browser directly to them.
  • Google Workspace hosts our email and stores the enquiry once it reaches us.

Some of these providers operate outside the UK. Where information is transferred, it is protected by the safeguards those providers put in place, such as the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for twelve months and then deleted.

Where an enquiry becomes a project, the records are kept for as long as we are required to keep them for tax, insurance and professional purposes, and then deleted.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, and object to us using it where our basis is legitimate interests. Requests are free and we will reply within one month.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled something, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you came to us first so we have a chance to put it right.

Changes to this policy

If what this website does with personal information changes, this page changes first, and the review date at the top moves with it.
